Program is offered by Shukura Porter, CEO of the Fashion Excursion Fashion Show and owner of Neutral Canvas.
Shukura Oniqua Porter was born with the blood of an artist. From permission to draw on her bedroom walls and from placing artwork in Charlotte Mecklenburg Library as a child, to dressing up for the runway as 1st place state pageant winner Little Miss NC, is where her road of art and fashion intertwined. Her mother designed every runway garment for her pageants, and in turn inspired Shukura to create her own style. Devoting herself to the fashion world with the love of fabrics and love of art, she designed logos for local businesses, helped design custom wedding dresses, created summer and fall fashion looks for In-Store fashion shows with Sax Fifth Avenue in Tampa, FL and more. Shukura is currently Production Manager of Fashion D'Llux Show - who has partnered with department stores such as Sax Fifth Ave, Porsche Design, and Nordstrom.

Not only is she a great clothing designer but a well known recyclable designer that builds and constructs elegant garments out of recycle fabric or other substances. Wearable art is not a hobby but a passion. IKEA dared to reach new heights with their sale plans and added Shukura to their 2016 events calendar to try a new way of advertising through fashion with a recyclable garment made specially with only IKEA items.
From a former student for fashion design & merchandise of the International Academy of Design & Technology College in Tampa FL, also as a current graphic design major of SCAD (Savannah College of Arts & Design) she stands before you now as owner of Neutral Canvas- free hand custom arts. Neutral Canvas is famous for custome arts and hand crafted graphic design T-shirts with no screen printing nor iron on materials. Her designs and other fashionable garments scream anti-trend and have spread from Charlotte to New York.
The Fashion Excursion- A luxury ride and fashion show to help fund the LevelUp foundation for underprivileged girls. Shukura as CEO partnered with Co- Founder Tempest Harris of level 21 Magazine. VIP members ride a luxury limo provided by Riches & Roses Luxury Service to a wonderful fun filled VIP Pre event and fashion show with luxury stores such as Saks 5th Ave and more.
